Repurposing spent catalyst refers to changing the nature of received waste materials such that they are available for application to alternate uses. Once received, the spent catalyst is treated with a reagent to stabilize the hazardous components. The neutralized catalyst is then blended with other material(s) to create a feedstock product that is available for alternate applications. These applications vary and are determined by the future requirements of the site. The hazardous spent catalysts, initially received, are effectively consumed as a result of this process. Once consumed, the new product is characterized and placed into a lined repository and is available for beneficial re-use at a future time as needed. There is a full level of tracking and reporting to trace all steps throughout the process.
